That's not what he was talking about. Digital limiting is different. He was talking about raising the volume of the album, and how that resulted in one of the tracks having a clipped peak. This is not something anyone would audibly hear, and if they claimed they did, they're probably lying. He was just being open with the audiophiles who are concerned about the loudness war.

Has nothing to do with the digital glitch, which I believe has now been fixed on the latest pressings.

I won't pretend to understand the audio technical issues, but I can say for sure that there are many different theories about which song he was talking about, and many people argue that the glitch on "What You Want" is a transfer glitch that could have been easily fixed, so it's unlikely this was the sacrificial lamb.

Kevin Shields knew about that glitch. He said in the pitchfork interview "There is a tiny bit of digital limiting on one song on the Loveless reissue, but I'm not gonna say which one because it was a sacrificial lamb to get the rest of the album up a bit." That's a shame, but oh well, just listen to the song on the other CD.

Yep my copy is glitched :( .....but the new mbv record is going to be great and apparently quite different according to Shields.
