  • HQ my arse. Betamax would give better picture quality. Fucker.

  • its was uploaded in response to the uber low

quality ones that were available after the show.

ps betamax was better than vhs, quality wise.

  • Part 4:

The apparent semi-success of the 24 members of the group predicting previous lotteries is another independent scam to give some sort of false explanation for the prediction.

So TWO scams together and the whole thing nothing more than a conjuring trick to mislead and misdirect people - and play on their greed and gullibility!

Type in derren brown's lottery trick - possible solution to see Internet Animator Cyriak show you how its done!

  • Seem's reasonable.

  • 1.the camera films the the scene twice, once live and once previously , what your seeing is a split screen live on the right side and not live on the left.

2.the camera is controlled in exact the same movements for both shoots by a machine, and in exact same lighting

3.they place the winning balls just after they are announced,

4.they then cut to the ball side live as soon as the balls are placed. if its exact same movement on the camera and lighting , you'd not notice the split.

  • split screen seems to be the most logical and easiest explanation for the trick. The laser explanations are a bit out there.

  • ...when he says 23....watch the camera shake...and the left hand ball rise.....

  • ....when he says 23...watch the camera shake...and the left hand ball....

  • as in the balls move when Darren pushes n.2 and push 23 up?

    omg... pushing objects!

  • Split-screen. Very simple method, but flawed because the hidden technician bodged the left ball (No. 39 when turned around.)

  • No camera tricks - no lasers - no flux capacitors - but just a simple trick. where he screwed up is he wrote 2 on the white board but the ball was printed 02..

  • thats coz he pushed the first pall which forced the 3rd 1 to push up

  • okay the split screen concept is what i believe the technique he used.

see how when he switches off the tv?

he seems to take a small step back unconfidently to allow more time for everything to be set up.

then when he reads out the lotto numbers

he also unconfidently says the jackpot number, just as if it was the first time he heard the numbers.

    wich is true.

    well thats my oppinion ^_^

  • Of course it's a camera trick. He would have done it in front of a live studio audience otherwise. Notice how he doesn't cut to the rear camera at all during the trick, that's because the supposed free holding camera man has now mounted this on a tripod and realtime camera shake effects are playing, allowing for the split screen trick. Don't forget an illusionists tricks are all quite simple really it's just the way they get dressed up. He dressed this one up so well. Well done Derren. Good fun!
