Lets enlarge on that a bit the F-15's have been on several thousand times as many combat missions and there have been 3 F-15 losses to SAM's and 2 Flankers lost to the same. What does that say? Actually you are correct the SU-27 + SU-33 are fine aircraft. But so are the F-15E's, F-16D's,F-18E's, F-22's and F-35's. Your initial post was in a word absurd because I really don't think the USA is behind any other nation as far as production of excellent combat aircraft is concerned.

@1138thz BTW the Su-27 is not junk , it has no air to air losses,and has proven itself effective in the Ethiopia/Eritrea war and its only 2 losses in history were to sam fire and the F-15 has also been downed by ground fire at least 3 times

@1138thz Not post stall maneuvering, it could not pull maneuvers like the cobra, and it doesn't have nearly the agility as the Flanker

Hey dumbo the F-15 was doing all kinds of wild aerobatic shit  ten years before that second rate Russian tractor was even designed. Given a chance third parties will always take US aircraft over second rate Russian junk.

You are an idiot, the SU-27 is not even in the same class as the F-22. Actually the SU-27 is more like an F-15 Eagle with inferior avionics and fire control. Facts: The SU-27 is a bit inferior to the F-15 in every area especially range and payload capacity and it was produced twelve years after the F-15. I doubt that the SU-27 could even detect the F-22 before the Raptor sends a missile its way.
