There's no need for society to pool its wealth to establish an "insurance" racket so that a small percentage of the citizenry can secure medical treatment. Costs are prohibitively high because of red tape: licensing, record-keeping, taxes & so forth. The government has no Constitutional authority to forbid, nor to regulate, private contracts made between doctors & their patients.

Once society buys into the "atheistic" notion that the individual man must be sacrificed for the good of the many; and that unhatched eagles are more worthy of protection than unborn humans, then the Utopian dream of the supreme, all-knowing, all-caring secular collectivists' state will come to pass.
