Dr. Brian Weinshenker, a clinician at the Mayo Clinic, describes the scientific process of how optic neuritis (ON) affects the eyes optic nerve. People living with neuromyelitis optica (NMO) can experience ON during NMO attacks. Symptoms can include eye pain and visual impairment.

  • @cocoisss i forgot about it til i read ur advice as it was a year again i decided not to do it in the end and all ok for now thinkin about it now i still feel like i made the right decision for me even thou most advised to do it but it was too stressful to go thru Was ur outcome ok?

  • @stefkova1234 I had two lumbar punctures, they werent that bad really, just lie down for an hour and u will be fine

  • JennEnglish(dot)com is a great site to purchase a book about ON . . . I have lived with ON for over 7 years and I share my story on what it is like to live with Optic Neuritis. The book is called "Tough Minded". I still live a happy and active life!

  • i have a second case of ON and the doc said to do another MRI and also a Lumbar Puncture which I am a bit scared about? looks nasty plus the headaches...but do the risks outwiegh the pros? any advice welcome thanks
