The Intensive Arabic Semester is a high standard program that provides you with the opportunity to learn spoken Arabic on a highly professional level, while immersing yourself in the local Jewish and Arab culture.
In conjunction with learning the language, you will further enrich yourself with a wide selection of fascinating courses in various topics relating to Jewish and Middle Eastern studies.
Both studies and accommodation are in the relaxing and rural environment of kibbutz Barkai. You will also regularly be involved in social and community projects in Arara, the nearby Arab village. There, with your host family, you will receive the opportunity to "give back" to the community while actively practicing your Arabic in its natural surroundings.
Guided excursions and hikes throughout Israel will reveal, in a way that visitors dont usually get to see, the rich history, natural beauty and intricate cultural issues that exist in this country.
