W.E. hits theaters on February 3rd, 2012.

Cast: Abbie Cornish, James D'Arcy, Andrea Riseborough, Richard Coyle, Annabelle Wallis, Oscar Isaac, Natalie Dormer, Laurence Fox, James Fox, David Harbour, Natalie Gal, Lola Leon

"W.E." tells the story of two fragile but determined women - Wally Winthrop and Wallis Simpson - separated by more than six decades.

In 1998, lonely New Yorker Wally Winthrop (Abbie Cornish) is obsessed with what she perceives as the ultimate love story: King Edward's VIII's abdication of the British throne for the woman he loved, American divorcee Wallis Simpson. But Wally's research, including several visits to the Sotheby's auction of the Windsor Estate, reveals that the couple's life together was not as perfect as she thought.

Weaving back and forth in time, W.E. intertwines Wally's journey of discovery in New York with the story of Wallis (Andrea Riseborough) and Edward (James D'Arcy), from the glamorous early days of their romance to the slow unraveling of their lives in the decades that followed.

I just watched this film, and I have to say that I was pleasntly surprised by it. It's romantic but it's not overly romantic or mushy or cheesy, and it also presented an interesting perspective of Wallis Simpson. I actually really love this film and I probably would buy it.

Yeah, being a Nazi sympathiser is so romantic... What?

The movie tries to suggest that he gave everything up for her. Edward gave up the responsibility of being king. He was still just as rich as ever.

A lot of people love power. I'm not sure how that's particularly romantic either.

Being King is everything. At least it was to him.
