i prefer analog by a long shot id rather have it staticy sounding than have a blocky or black screen i loove analog

analog is just superior. simple and rugged.
sure.. digital transmissions might have a better picture (read: HD and stuff like that), but what's the point when there's so many drawbacks!?
i'd rather watch a grainy analog broadcast than nothing at all (digital w. weak signal = nothing)

hello everybody DXPG too i have an Uniden UST 4400 can i use that to pick up analog satelite tvc and if so where do i get the dish that you are using ? please please reply

What I adore about analog transmission is that I can zap extremely fast without the need to wait for the picture and the audio to load, a thing that up till now not a single digital video/audio or even audio alone could address :(

I think, it's because DVB-S have problems with multipath, unlike DVB-T.

Yes I agree, digital is definitely better! (in terms of picture quality, quantity of channels etc.)
BUT: Simulcast of analog would not really hurt anyone (except for SES Astra who want to use the TPs digitally), especially since it's very easy to get a signal.
I even managed to get an analog signal of Astra with a wok pan and a LNB... ;-)
