Honecomb boards weigh much less than solid aluminum boards because they have thin aluminum tops that are bonded to a lightweight "honeycomb" material.
The machine runs faster and smoother with these lighter boards and also the honeycomb material dissipates heat from the flash cure unit better. These boards are also easier to handle than much heavier solid aluminum boards.

What exactly is "HONEY COMB" I've been hearing this a lot lately in regards to oversized prints. Please get back to me, thank you.

Manual printers can't handle the oversized screen size or weight, not to mention the oversized board. For a cheap way to experiment, buy a set of our "Hinge Clamps" for approx $30. Use them to attach an oversized screen to a flat sturdy work table and away you go.
