Can someone make one with chromium plating, like the one Patton was suppose to get by the manufacturer, but didn't receive it due to the "accident".

I've also been thinking about making an accurate model of the M82 Barrett .50 cal rifle. If and when I do, I will post videos up for a tutorial. Something you could use for your stocks is blue or pink house insulating foam. You carve it with a file card and then smooth it down with 60 then 220 grit sand paper. Cover the foam with wood glue to protect it, then use Bondo to complete the surface. Use a profile gauge for symmetry. Eventually get into fiberglass.

It's cool to see you getting into making props. It takes years of practice to make realistic looking models so ignore those individuals that only have nagative comments. When I was a kid, I used to make all kinds of props that looked really bad. Eventually, I remade the firing mechanism and handle to a surplus bought hollow grenade which I lost parts. They looked just as real as the original. I eventually studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and became a prototype engineer.
