October 17, 2009: Conrail Historical Society runs a JTCX special on former Conrail Lines hosting the restored Pennsylvania Railroad E8A's 5808 and 5711. Here, we see Conrail Express 805 bookin' down the Keystone Line at around 70 MPH, give-or-take. Prior, there are the 15:48 on-time 670 and 16:02 on-time 665, with Amtrak AEM-7 940 and 925 respectively. Despite the weather, I hope you enjoyed! I froze my buns off for this!

  • awesome train!!!! and do there run also freight trains???? 5/5

  • A long time ago (20-30 years) trains ran freight on this line with electric locomotives like E33, E44, E60 and GG1. But now it is a passenger line with about 30 Amtrak trains daily and about 14 on Saturday/Sunday. The maximum speed on this line is 110 MPH on straight track. The only time freight uses this line are maintenance trains. Norfolk Southern runs a local train but it is not electrified, they use two GP38-2 and deliver lumber cars, I think they can go 50 MPH. It runs at night.

  • Ahhhh weather must have sucked, but see? I got KCS, BNSF, UP, and SP last weekend, and you have ripping PRR E's this weekend, kinda balanced hahaha

  • Hahahaha. Indeed! I can't wait to see all of your videos!
