So our fathers rape and pillage, and it's us, the kids that pay the price by 'respecting' beliefs which clearly aren't about personal freedom but archaic spiritual beliefs (Sorry, aboriginals, but your beliefs are as unimportant to me as Christianity's, Judaism, and Islam)
That's Progress for you.
Keep Didgin' Ladies. Didge not for Australia, Didge for the Earth. Didge for her inhabitants.
@valburge so if feminism isn't about doing what 'you' want? Then what is it? If 'my' culture says you are NOT to step foot outside between the hours of midday and 6pm and that's the way it is but you want to...aren't you disrespecting 'my' culture? My point is, some of these things don't make sense to us, so that's fine, we don't have to adopt it. However, if I choose to (for example) play the Sitar, am I disrespecting Indians? No, therefore, you don't know what your argument is = full of shit
@valburge nope, not an american male although I am white...whatever that means. Also not pushing hatred of muslims, the muslim religion says nowhere to stone women to death if they're caught with a man out of wedlock. That's just something some of the 'men' in those countries have decided is a good way to control the women. BUT...when it comes to these subjects, all comparisons are equal, you can't have gradation based on what you agree with. If aboriginal women don't want to play it, then fine
I read that the restriction was because they believed if a woman played a didge she would not be able to having children. Maybe you should look into the truth behind the custom before you lash out.
OMG!....how can anyone ''meditate'' to this?
