Actually it kind of is. Besides from certain changes to storylines, characters, landscap, ect. You go everywhere that Sora has been in the first games.

Chain of Memeries isn't bad, they just could of done more with it is all.

Chain of Memories was actually easier than it seems if you played the PS2 remake.

Well think about it, if CoM wasn't there, we would be asking

"Where'd that town come from", "Why did Sora end up sleeping?", "Why is Riku wearing an Organization coat in the first place?"

You actually control how many spells you can do with the new panel system.

Unlike KH2, you are limited by how many you assign, the only way you can recast is by using Ethers and Elixirs. Its not as bad as you think, considering there are special panels that...*Obtainable Panel Spoiler*
