  • The song is called "Patsy Girl" if anyone is wondering. The recording of it is by Ross McManus and the Joe Loss Blue Beats. Someone else posted a YouTube video of the audio only, from the record. It's under "Ross McManus - Patsy Girl."

  • Thanks for the info

  • The spit of his son!

  • Bless him. Reunited with his lovely Sara

  • @lambyjr

Thanks for the info. All very sad.

  • @1ALJAY This is true. He died withing 3 hours of his wife (Sara) being buried. He wasn't at the wake due to his illness, but Dec (Elvis) was with him when he died. He said that, right before he died, Ross reached out and said Sa Sa, as if Sara was calling out to him.

  • Just heard. Ross died 2 weeks after his wife died.

How sad. Respect to his family.

  • Exactly 50 years ago, I visited the Hammersmith Palais for the first time and got to love the singing of Ross with the Joe Loss Orchestra. It became my" home" for 4 years, until marriage ended my search of the "local talent"!. I remember this little man with the deap brown voice, singing all types of pop songs in many languages.

Thanks for the memories Ross, RIP.

  • I am more than a little sad to learn of the passing of Ross. I bought this record when it was first released and about three months ago

included it on one of my home made C-Ds of all time favourites. Little did I know that this was soon to become a tribute.

  • RIP Ross MacManus
