Ipod touch as a cheap DMX controller, uses WIFI and MRMR (see other videos for WIFI / MRMR setup - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OR5wDeHWi90 )
I used an Enttec usbpro with processing to route OSC messages from Ipod Touch to Processing and then to the serial usb port to the Enttec box, then to a kam par 56 led stage light. Also used input from a camera to control the LED light. This system would be suited to dance technology, performers could use their movement to alter DMX direct by reading accelerometer data from the Ipod touch, or a stage hand could alter the DMX direct. The camera example is to simulate a performer on stage i.e. the camera would be above the performer so the performers movements could be tracked. could also integrate color tracking, like this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWf_sy87qNI&feature=related
The ipod touch can be used as a color mixer and even used for moving head DMX lights/spots.
