  • HOSTIANGUSTAVO!!!

  • kollons en GUSTAVO!!

  • Awesome, how the hell did you get it to make such a metal like sound? I'm really curious since i've been thinking about buying it, but I was affraid I wouldn't be able to get a metal sound from it.

  • Hey thanks! Some good pedals do wonders... and a bit more. This is what I did, I swapped both tubes for TAD´s (el84 and 12AT7), also swapped the output transformer with a Hamond ESE125 together with some resistors values to even the voltage of the OT. Then I run TC Electronic Tube Primer and TC´s Distortion + Booster pedals. I also run TC´s XII Phaser pedal. Thats about it. Stop by the Epiphone Forum for more detailed EVJ modding... Have fun!

  • It sounds way better than an MG

  • sounds like a solid state 10 watt fender squire amp with a fuzz on.

  • Good sound,really.

  • I think it sounds good. It has a nice growl to it.

  • Hi, What mod have you used?

  • That's perfect early metallica style disto at 1:35.

To all the haters the point of modding the amp IS to have this sound. If you don't like this kind of sound don't mod your amp instead of hating! It's hard to get solid tube sound & distortion for an affordable price!

  • Go out and buy a Randall SS Head if you want that sound. In my opinion, you're negating the purpose of it being the VALVE junior.

  • Oh, come on! It doesn't sound /that/ bad. :P

  • i would say that the playing is really great, but why ruin the amps tone? but as i said the playing is still good...
