This is a classic example of anti's and the worlds treatment of Mormonism. THEY DON'T LISTEN. THEY DONT READ THE WHOLE BOOK OF MORMON. THEY DON'T EVEN ATTEMPT TO INVESTIGATE TRUTH VS. FALSE CLAIMS. Joseph Smith could easily have not given himself up knowing that he would be killed. He also never denied the first vision despite threats to his life. The far easier path, and if Joseph Smith was somehow less of a person for attempting a momentary attempt at self defense, and that only after looking into the face of his just murdered brother. Sorry but a couple of hundred men against four for a few minutes is hardly a blazing gun battle it was simply a SLAUGHTER. They never had any chance.

Peter had a sword when Jesus was going to be taken captive by the Roman and Jewish authorities for interrogation and later his crucifixion. He even used it. Peter was the leader of the Church, yet he used a weapon to defend the Lord. Joseph Smith used a weapon to defend the other men. I never knew the thing about the window. But now i understand its purpose. He didn't give up and commit suicide. He sacrificed his life to divert shots against the other two men.

@MrFitzwilly That was the point of this video.  Did you not watch it or did you just read my Title. The video expresses the reasons who Joseph had been given a gun and actually used it. Critics give him a hard time on this, which is absurd. Keep the faith. CB

Why Need a gun when people love prophets? yea right. some people hate prophets. He defended himself, is that against your religion? this person giving shis message sounds just like the taunters at the cross. Come down off of the cross then we will believe. Others he can save but himself he cannot save. Remember this, all prophets are a type of Christ! Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah, traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain!
