To help meet the demand of ever shrinking machine parts, Taisei Kogyo developed there micro MIM, metal injection molding process, which can use a wide variety of metals and be applied to an array of different industries.
In the MIM process metal powder is mixed with binder elements from plastics and wax and made in to pellets then heated and injected into a mold. Unlike other MIM processes the debinding and sintering stages are combined to reduce time and maintain quality.
Parts for cell phones, bikes, large and small machines, and other electronic devices can be made using this technology. Also compared to other MIM systems, Taisei's system can be easily used for R&D.
