  • Everyones entitled to there own opinion but if you describe SK work as dull you obviously have never read any of his work. I implore you, thatbadass, to read "The Stand" and then say that King has no style. Unless you have actually read his work to criticizing a literary great is something a moronic fucking idiot would do.

It is obvious to me that you have forgotten the face of your father.

  • Stephen King is not a great writer? Look at his list of books and stories and tell me you've never heard of at least half of them. Writing isn't just about the execution, it's about the reslult. One person's opinion, (such as your own) doesn't match up against millions. Oh, and by the way, The Dark Tower series, was genious.

  • I don't know why people get so angered up in the comments. Even if people say stupid things in the comments, at the end of the day if you fight back-who are you fighting with? Probably someone who just wanted to get you angry.

  • I I think the quality of Sk'a work is uneven, true, but at times his work does rival other celebrated writers. He uses philosophy, symbology, etc in many of his writings. Not many people are aware that he wrote The Shawshank Redemption which is an excellent movie as well as a novella. I'm a big fan of Steinbeck but SK's book sit comfortably on my shelves by his. I think his book on writing was excellent and generous and also a great memoir. Read Misery and tell me that it isn't a great book.

  • King has been writing longer than I've been alive, lol. My personal favorites include: 1. Bag of Bones, 2. Desperation, 3. Duma Key, 4. Pet Sematary, 5. Insomnia.

I haven't read his juggernauts, though, such as The Stand and It; these are just from the 12 I've read.

  • Try spelling something better than a first-grader could before criticizing multi-million copy-selling author.

BTW, King began writing in the late 60's

    *Gasp!* That's FOURTY YEARS!

  • According to you . . . .

"Bobz life wuz gud. He playd in summur."

    is just as good as

"Bob's life was wonderful and carefree. Summer was his wonderland where nothing mattered but sun and grass."

Get back to me on that.

  • Fuck you idiot, Stephen King is a good author, but people haven't forgotten Harry Potter. The sixth film has made 917 mil, the highest of any 2009 movie.

  • I´ll read cell :D

  • Love Stephen King. Favorite author. I'll be reading "Dreamcatcher" soon. :)

  • im reading thinner
