SAIN ZAHOOR was born and raised in a rural peasant family and for decades he performed exclusively at dargahs and melas in his native Okara district of Pakistan. In 1989 he was invited to the All Pakistan Music Conference to give his first ever performance on a concert stage.

Fans of the Sufiana kalams claim that seeing and hearing Sain Zahoor in full flow is the closest anyone alive will get to being in the presence of the the Sufi mystics of yore, like Bulle Shah and Shah Hussain.

Hi,

I am an Indian & very big fan of Sufi songs. I love Great Singer Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali khan sahib & now Rahet ji, Hans raj hans and many more. But never heard this guy.

He is amazing and such a pitch and sweetness in his voice. looks like more close to God. Today we are becoming more orthodox, but actually going far from God, Bhagawan, Allah, Waheguru.. We shd learn from him.

Wonderful comment mere veer! I´m a Pakistani sister, tired of ppl quick to say that "there are no boundaries, no nationality", only when they´re talking about Pakistanis or Muslims. Why do they wanna take our identity away from us when they like something of our culture? Why do they have a problem admitting that something is from Islam or Pakistanis, when it´s something good?

I love Lata jee for example but would never dream of denying that she´s Indian. It´s just so..

Kaamaal kar te..sain ji..Ii am a big fan of sufi songs...Marfat songs..I am indian..livling in u.s.a...but i love humanity..although christian muslim hindhu sikh...God IS ONE..

only different name..But he is ONE..

I am an American. An East Indian co-worker shared a link to Saieen and I cannot stop watching or listening to him. No, I do not know the language...I cannot appreciate the words that are sung...BUT..I can "feel" the passion that comes via the emotion and the music. God Bless this music.
