Herbie Hancock - Cantaloupe Island (Live in London)

I had the pleasure of being able to see a jazz legend, Herbie Hancock, live in London last weekend. Playing at the Royal Festival Hall in Southbank as part of the London Jazz Festival. It was pretty awesome and quite intense.

They ended their set (pre-encore) with this old famous tune, Cantaloupe Island. I was very happy. :)

Btw sorry for the incredibly dodgy shaky hidden camera work. I had to hide my camera under my scarf the whole time which made it difficult to keep things steady and in shot.

Wow.. I can't believe Herbie Hancock is almost 70 years-old! Freddie Hubbard, my favorite trumpet player of all time, turned 70 this year. I'm glad these guys are still cooking, but I think Herbie held up a little better than Freddie. Freddie messed his lip up in 1992 and never really recovered.
