Uncivilized booing, heckling and yelling, promoted by the anti-progress group known as the tea-baggers, disrupts any attempt at a civil discussion of major issues. Conservative extremists demonstrate how far they will go to prevent the progress Americans need and want during this August 3rd town hall meeting.
The Woman's City Club, the Cincinnati Woman's Political Caucus and the Cincinnati Chapter of Now co-sponsored this event to discuss Health Care Reform, with Rep. Steven Driehaus.
Sadly, the tea-baggers showed up and turned the event into nothing but an unruly mob of fringe extremists, screaming and showing utter disrespect for anyone.

Rachel Maddow is very thorough and backs up everything she says with facts. Take a chance and listen to her. Who do you trust more? Hannity, Rush, O'Reilly or Rachel Maddow. She's scary smart. So is Thom Hartmann. I'm proud to be their listeners and fans. They have a lot of integrity.  I do search for the truth.

They have been wrong for the past 8 years (no one said a word about that at the time) and NOW is the time for them to try to build momentum for the next presidential election....So far, it isn't working but we have over 3 years to see if this is true....

The protesters ARE acting angry and they ARE shouting & videos don't lie! They are SCARED. They have been told FALSE info. They have every right to ask questions, but not act rude and noisy and not even listen to answers. There has been so much hate on talk radio. It's lowering the political discourse in this country. The health system does need reform and Obama is trying to get Republican input and false info doesn't help. People WANTED a public option until all this hubbub happened.

Obama is your democractically elected president - get over it! What don't you like about Obama? That he is a "socialist?" Give me a break! Or that he wasn't born here? LOL. America wants to give liberal ideas a chance. Conservative ideas have not worked. Look at the economy Bush has wrought, look at the Iraq war Bush has wrought. Listen to Thom Hartmann on progressive radio, listen to Rachel Maddow on MSNBC, and hear the other side for a change.

I don't think she handled it that well, I'm not a big fan of her 'tone,' however, free speech doesn't mean being rude and obnoxious and noisy to shut down a civil discussion of ideas. They are acting like thugs. And they are ill-informed, probably watching Fox. Obama isn't trying to kill your grandmother! In fact the living will provision was submitted by a Republican!
