The police in our old high school used to spray everybody in the hall way with pepper spray when there were "horrible gang fights" (oh no!) Everybody used to try to run the other way when they started spraying, then I would start pushing people back to the pepper spray mist. People would come to class after wards looking like this guy. Hilarious.

@RayAir1 There is no question that fox 5.3 is a great and very effective product. But SHU is a very misleading way of determining the "heat" of a pepper spray product. A better way of determining heat is to measure the major capsaicinoids by percent in a given product. Sabre Red is another product that is also highly effective.

To me CS mace spray hurts the same as any OC I have ever been sprayed with.

I personally carry Sabre CS DPS in the 2oz size. I never had CS fail me. When you hear of mace or tear gas not working on drunks, etc that is CN (the original mace). CS mace is 10 times more potent than CN. I am always among the least effected by OC in certification class. I would rather be sprayed with OC than CS any day.

@RayAir1 Actually, I called the company and asked. They said they quite familiar with Sabre Red as well. Perhaps you work or get commission from Sabre Red? If so, I'd be more than happy to pay you $50 to be on the receiving end of the Fox 5.3...as long as it "doesn't work so well". :)

Fox is no more effective than Sabre Red.

@RayAir1 Fox claims that the out-of-the-nozzle heat IS 5.3 million, not your calculation. Has to do with the disperants and the oil mix. Your math has no real basis when talking about heat units.
