Brazil Fashion Weeks Summer 2012 - Sao Paulo and Rio - Review | FashionTV - FTV.com

FashionTV brought you the sexiest swimsuits and beachwear from FFW Fashion Rio and Sao Paulo Fashion Week where the top models showed off their flawless figures in a range of designer swimwear. First, FTV caught up with the label 2nd Floor in Rio de Janeiro for FFW Fashion Rio Summer 2012, and watched as top Brazilian VIPs, like Astrid and Bruna Lise Mayer, showed up to the front row, said hello to FashionTV and took their seats as 2nd Floor showcased its graphic and colorful minimalist knitwear collection. Models like Aline Weber got ready backstage in hair and makeup for the Espaco show. Espaco, which means space in Portuguese, showcased a collection inspired by natural elements and infused with foliage, animal prints, and khaki. Next, while Totem says it took its inspiration from sea breeze, summer day calm, and fresh air, the collection itself, which paired prints against summer solids, looked like something you'd see in a Calvin Klein collection. At the Patachou show, top models like Daiane Corteranto step out in yellow and black prints, mismatched patterns, and beachy color elements. The Coven show gave its onlookers a modern India vibe with emboridery, knit dresses, and jacquard details showcased on a strong silhouette. Nadine Ponce welcomes us to the Agatha show, where models embraced white dresses, unusual shapes, paint splattered colors, and sheets of silk with hair that looks like they just rolled out of bed. Notable designer Alexandre Herchcovitch brought denim back to bikinis and bathing suits.

FashionTV heads to Sao Paulo Fashion Week Summer 2012, where Ashton Kutcher and Alessandra Ambrosio are the biggest celebrity models to grace the week. They walk in the Colcci show before Ashton Kutcher blows a kiss to Alessandra and takes a seat in the front row with his wife Demi Moore. Colcci's show is filled with stripes and minimalism for a casual preppy sailor look. Animale had a strong purple theme, that was also futuristic and looked like nightlife beachwear at its best. Top models Raquel Zimmerman, Constance Jablonski, and Joan Smalls graced the stage. At the Osklen show, statements were made as a mix of urban chic and sophisticated elegance hit the runway during their aptly titled Royal Black Collection paying tribute to African culture. Backstage, model locks were tightly wound in rolls around their head. The Iodice show featured models in white skinny pants, billowy white shirts, and lace. Later, dresses in blue, black, and yellow graced the runway. Cori's show was about comfortable and casual clothes for women with a tennis theme, but mini frocks dressed up the runway later on. The Cavalera show went on outside and looked like a massive carnival celebrating Mexico's Day of the Dead where Frida Kahlo lookalikes in edgy rock & roll gear graced the runway. Finally, Alexandre Herchcovitch showed again in Sao Paulo, presenting his Resort 2012 collection with floral embroidery and feminine silhouettes.
