  • the bowl that you play at 45 seconds sounds out of this world, where did it come from and what style of bowl is that?

  • This is a very rare style of bowl in my experience. I found 3 of them in a shop. Immediately I knew from their design that they were for using with Water. I call them Water Spirit bowls. They all produce these remarkable sounds - and thus a design feature. At present I am uncertain as to their country of origin so Himalayan bowl might be best. They could be Tibetan but there was no such information from the seller.

    I hope that this helps.

  • you know what's interesting? that sound that it makes actually sounds like when whales communicate

  • Well, it is true. I was having a whale of a time right then and there.

  • I thought you might like to visit Frank Perry 111 on MySpace and listen to track 6 'Awakens the Treasure of Mt Kanchnejunga' where you can hear many such wonderful sounds for 33 minutes!

  • Great! Is it a sort of meditation for you as well?

very nice. Where could I see it for myself?

I would like to go over. If you don't mind.

May you and all beings be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

  • It is a sort of meditation - active meditation - mindfulness. I have been fortunate enough to receive bowls used for meditation and spiritual practises (not everysingle one). When I play I know each bowl and work with the subtle energy of each bowl - that helps me to be in a meditative state whilst playing.

I live in UK - so not sure how far you'd have to travel. I play mostly in the UK. I have played abroad (incl US) but the amount I can transport via the air is small!

    Thank you

  • Thanks for download this video!... and music!

  • Love those clusters of harmonics that seem to hang in the air when you play a collection of bowls together - and those water bowls really are remarkable - ancient primal voices. Thanks for sharing this world of natural sounds with us.

  • Amazing to see so manybowls. Recording quality could be better. Incredible kind of cloud cluisters from the spiral of small bowls. Beautiful.
