Come on, his singing wasn't "good" enough to get him any farther than this point. If you think that American Idol is a catch-all talent competition where anything goes, you miss the point entirely. But based on your user name, it's safe to say you're slightly biased...
This kid's problem is he wants to be famous for the sake of it, and doesn't possess any genuinely outstanding skills - be it singing, dancing, or juggling - which put him miles ahead of the rest of the population.

This is crazy, his singing is good, I think in a year or so from the making of this he should come back, but as for the devil stick (not stick juggling) he's amazing, very nice skill! I hope he comes back and show off Simon, wasn't too harsh of a comment though, shouldn't have taken it so hard.

If that kid can't take the harsh comments of the entertainment business, maybe he shouldn't be trying to get in it at all. The judge's comments weren't that bad compared to what some people get.
