Directed by Raquel Cepeda and Produced in association with VH1 and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the film began airing on VH1 in February, 2007 and will be released on DVD in September 2007.

why does this not have more views than some BS lil wayne video? Sad that there aren't more people intrested in the truth. Props & much respect to my man Tego Calderon who vowed to never wear diamonds again after his experience in Africa & learning the truth about the so highly sought after "bling".

The rebel leaders could've easily used THEIR SOLIDERS to dig up the diamonds, use a portion of the proceeds to improve the people's condition and win them over to your cause. But some men are wretched. They would've easily took over and the world probably wouldn't even know about it.

just finished watching this documentary and my only comment is that raekwon can stop being a stupid fat f^!k and try and understand that he and all his hip hop royalty friends are the reason why the civil war happened... supply & demand it's that simple. its not the corporations, its his fat greedy arse that is causing the poverty.
great documentary, highly recommended for everyone to watch.
