  • (Part 2)

Her first time on stage in France was in 1999 at “Femmes D’Algerie” concert in Paris which led her to a recording contract and her CD Raoui (2001) was born. No doubt that Souad Massi is Algerian and she developed her skills in Algeria under the influence of our local music like chaabi of Algiers, al Andaloussi and other different style we have but also other styles of foreign music like Fado, Flamenco, country…

  • Souad Massi was born in 1972 in Algiers the capital of Algeria. She also grew up in Algiers. She studied guitar in a school in Algeria and started her carrier in the group Triana D’Alger. Her first performances were all in Algeria. He first work was in the form of tape (not a CD ) was also produced in Algeria. It was a very successful work (country style).
