2010 James Beard Cookbook Award winner Judith Choate prepares a classic delicacy of Paris: Madeleines - a perfect compliment to the words of the city.

Here is the ingredients list so you can follow along with Judith in your own kitchen :-)

4 large eggs, at room temperature
1½ cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • What is the name of the background song? reminds me so much of my grandparents... and madeleines as well, reminds me of my grandma giving them to me when i was 3-4 years old :)

  • @drwippo Thanks for checking the video out! I'm glad you enjoyed it and that it brought back of memories of your gradparents :-)

The title of the song is "La Vie en Rose", although I can't remember who did this particular version. Let me know if you try the recipe and how the madeleines come out :-)
