That's very true. President Kennedy was driven around in a Lincoln. But did you know that President Lincoln was 'driven' around in a Kennedy?! President Lincoln's 'buggy' [As in 'horse and buggy'] was made by a company called 'Kennedy'. It was called the 'Kennedy Coach'. :o)

I thought about that, too--the Ranchero did drop a lot when the cube was dropped onto it. But I really doubted that it could carry the weight of that whole Continental. It's also funny how Goldfinger promoted Ford so much. Product placement advertising. Notice that Ford dealership sign when the Lincoln turns onto the other road.

I love these old Lincolns. Nowadays, they talk about the "crumple zone" for modern cars in an accident. With these Lincolns, the "crumple zone" was the *other* car!
