This project took 7 months to complete and $24K cheaper than Fender's.

  • Forgive my stupidity, but how do the pickups stay in place, did you drill some holles in where the pickguard was supposed to be? I dont see any backspace

  • @LgGerminator You drill the holes straight into the body; in the pickup cavities.

  • how do you age it? i just made one and its spot on, just no age

  • @brouillette94 Use sandpaper, exacto knife, dremel tool, etc. Then, you scrape away, sand away, and chip away. You may want to put a cigarette to it for the burn marks on the body and neck. Hell, aging the instrument is probably one of the coolest parts of the entire build. gotta make it look as if she's 36 years old!

  • @madmatt216 If you can ffind one big enough for the entire body, it would be fine. However, you gotta make sure it's completely cured or the body might warp, bend or even split when you put the guitar together.

  • @J5150C would it be made with just 1 plank
