The E-Bugster concept car was revealed at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. The name "E-Bugster" is a combination of "E" for electric, "Bug," the American nickname for the Beetle, and "speedster," which typically describes an open-top two-seater.

Haters gotta hate... Needle-dicks gotta spew.... Personally, I think it's a nice car and a nice ad. Thank you. And yes, go Electric... and make sure your electricity is clean. :)

They might as well go in this direction with the beetle... the original concept of the pre-war Beetle as being a 'people's car', meaning inexpensive for most people to buy and own, died when the New Beetle came out in the late 90's. It failed to live up to the concept of it's predecessor, which was the best selling car of all time at one point. Kind of sad to know it's unlikely a car manufacturer can (or will) produce anything like the original Beetle, in concept, again.
