It's me playing a hard and crappy fighting game for the 16-bit Sega, from the start to the finish.

PLEASE READ
-----------
"Unique" points about the game:

-- Unlike other evolved fighting games, this one has NO continues or credits.

-- If you lose to an opponent, you simply get sent back to fight the same opponent you fought against two fights ago.

-- If you lose JUST ONCE against the boss, it's an instant Game Over and you 'll get a bad ending which sucks ass.

-- The execution of special moves is actually LIMITED by a Yin-Yang icon present next to the life bar, which breaks into fractions on every execution and when the limit is reached it becomes a shining red dot. This means special moves CANNOT be executed UNTIL the full icon reappears some time later.

This concept was put in place to prevent players from abusing special moves but I find it retarded and unfair, because even when your computer opponent gets the shining red dot it could STILL perform as many special moves as it likes! Talk about ultra cheapness.

-- The Eternal Champion has 5 FORMS and you fight him on a Survival Mode basis (that is, just a small portion of your health is restored when you win every consecutive battle)

So in view of all of the above that I oppose, I play the game as fast and as cheap as I can (^-^)

The only thing that is good about this game is the story, which is almost as well-written as Mortal Kombat.

Enjoy.

**Also, from a page in the instruction manual about Xavier (word for word that do not appear on the in-game screen):

============================
Xavier's story and profile
============================

Xavier Pendragon

Occcupation: Warlock/Alchemist

Time Zone-
1692 A.D.

- Fighting Style-
Hapkido Cane Fighting

Hapkido emphasizes a nonviolent code of
counterdefense. If the force of an attacker's
blow is strong, it must be met with a soft
reception and countermoves. If the force is soft, it must be countered with a powerful defense.

This approach leads to the fluid circular motion
and constant mobility of the art. The cane is
used in place of the limbs. Almost all hits
and defenses are performed by the cane.

- Biography -
Xavier always made poor career choices, so it was
no surprise that his last job should end in failure. After nailing still smoking horseshoes
onto the mayor's prized workhorse, Xavier found
himself with a shack full of smithy tools and no
job.

Stirred by a love for science, Xavier decided
to try his hand at alchemy, the age-old quest for the formula which would turn lead into gold.

Instead, he found a way to create an unlimited source of cheap, clean-burning energy that would put Salem on the map forever.

Also, he found that his alchemy had changed him,
giving him strange, new powers.

Before Xavier could use this power and document
it for the good of future generations, he found
himself bound and gagged as the people of Salem
carted him off to the town square. They burned
him at the stake on the false charge of being a
warlock.

While some of Xavier's powers could be mistaken
for witchcraft, they are all based on real science.
