Position control system using PIC-based PID controller, actuated by motorized propeller. This is a demo of a simple 1 axis flight control system for helicopters.Designed in the system, reference angle and the controller gain values, using PC-Hyper Terminal Screen, is sent to the PIC16F877 Microcontroller on the Max232 main circuit. The angular position of the system is determined using 3600 P / R incremental Encoder. The system is controlled by PIC-based control algorithm. Control Algorithm has written in CCS-C Compiler. Propeller is connected to the DC motor. It is drived by TIP41 Transistor motor driver circuit with PWM technique 5V/1023 resolution. Lift force is produced by the propeller rotation. Thus, the desired angular position can be reached. Disturbance inputs (IMPULS-STEP), depending on the model of the selected controller, can be reset or the amount of error can be observed. In this system can be applied P, I, D, PI, PD, PID controllers.
