Just after sunset, three trains pass Holden Road, Calder Park, midway between Diggers Rest and Sydenham stations. The overhead structures have only recently been erected as part of the Sunbury electrification project, which is not yet commissioned.
The three trains are:
-P15 & P17 running in push-pull formation with a pair of 'H' sets with the 19:28 Up Sunbury. This is the only currently scheduled 'counter-peak' service to use P class+H sets.
-N461 hauling a Steamrail Victoria charter returning from the Bendigo Cup, the consist being made up of SRV's 'CP' van and several of their 'S' cars.
-Three-car VLocity unit VL49 running the 19:15 service from Melbourne to Bendigo.
I don't get why the two locos on the first train are both positioned to run long hood leading. If they swapped them around they would operate short hood leading in both directions, giving much better visibility for the crew.

@GeoffBlackmore Although there is better visibility short hood leading, the P class' (and T class, and early X classes) No.1 end is actually the long hood, meaning the driver is sitting on the correct (left) side when running long hood leading. From what I've heard most crews still prefer the short hood, but there are benefits to both.
