Going back to 1958, it was one of the first courses to be built and at one point was the property of the great eccentric Howard Hughes.
It also turned into a stop on the PGA Tour in the 1960 and 70s. The community course got modernized in 2004 by designers Brian Curley & Lee Schmidt and boasts a number of holes with sundry difficulty. As an important point, hole No. Four was named as one of the "best of the finest eighteen holes" in the town by the Vegas Review-Journal. The additional challenging par-3 205-yard hole is encircled by water. Then the 9th hole is thought to be one of the hardest tees in Vegas. The par-4,398-yard hole is all about placement because with, the lake, the bunker, and the sand even the best golfers have their game cut out for them.
Among the other awards, the Wildhorse golfing course was also named the "Best of Show" by Bridal Impressive and "Best Places to Play" by Golfing Digest in 2006-2007. If all this reading isn't really enough to whet your golf appetite, I'm not sure what will. Because I sure am prepared to struck me some hole-in-ones.
