This is the very first level of the original Medal of Honor on the PS1.

I love this game. It has everything; Excellent music, awesome weapon sounds, great atmosphere, smart enemy AI for its time, detailed graphics, frantic gameplay, and even a sense of humor. If you haven't played this game, you need to find a copy and see why it's one of the best games ever released for the PS1.

It's also available on the PlayStation Network.

  • Can you play this game on a PS2?

  • @nolifereview Yes, you certainly can. In fact, this was recorded off of a PS2.

Generally, most PS1 games will run on the PS2. You'll be hard-pressed to find one that doesn't. :D

  • i can´t even pass this mission

1:35 i always go to that machinegun and that german shoot me in the back, then a guy spawn in front of me and i don´t know what to do and close the emulator

this game scares me a lot

i like the game a lot but i can´t play it xD

    sorry 4 my bad english

  • @Danox94 That's okay. This is definitely the scariest mission in the game, mostly due to the music.

I suggest you find the disk version of this game. You may have less difficulty playing this on an actual PlayStation or on a PS2.

  • This and Frontline were the 2 best medal of honor games. Medal of honor games nowadays (like airbourne) just suck compared to the good old medal of honor. Now they are making a new medal of honor which is set in the modern days (which sucks and they are copying call of duty). They should of remade the first medal of honor (or frontline) in todays graphics that would of been awesome.

  • dude i dont even have ps1 but ur cideos are awesome

  • @spicyechidna94 Ok thanks! I must get this game!

  • @WeissVogel Perhaps. I was, too, to be perfectly honest. I was only five when this game came out and I didn't even play it until 2009.

It doesn't matter how old somebody is; anyone can enjoy old games. The problem is that many curren-generation gamers have a low tolerance for any game that isn't new and in high-definition. I played a lot of games on the Sega Genesis and the Sega Saturn when I was younger, so I have a high tolerance for 32-bit polygons, but many do not.

  • Man, I remember the story behind this level. When Dale Dye was tapped to check out the level design, he went batshit upon learning that the developers placed a three-star general as being aboard the plane when it crashed. "How the hell did a three-star general ended up there?!?!" he asked, and then helped them tweak out the plot, replacing the general with the G3 officer

  • @spicyechidna94 the guy was maybe too young to even recall this classic. I loved playing this for days when it was released (and felt the rumble from the machineguns going full-tilt-boogie)

  • @robertcoolh123 This, Underground, Allied Assault, and Frontline were the best of the series. Pure greatness
