Those are some old school traps. You should check out N.American prawn traps. Easy to open, rebait, and safely stack. Looks kinda like a small black cod trap (don't know if you have a black cod fishery in the UK)

Wouldn't it be easier to run the creels with snap gannons? It''d make for a safer deck. Too much bite under foot. Run your main line into a coiler and unsnap each creel, Just a thought
