I can stroll through Berkeley's lovely and pacific neighborhoods. Unfortunately, I can't afford to live there! Thanks for your honest reflections, quakercityjohn.

The trust and lack of fear in domestic cats is a direct reflection of a neighborhood's atmosphere and vibes. In bad neighborhoods they run the other way.

Cats can in this way offer us a test feedback measure.

In many outlying neighborhoods, crime and security is WAY over-rated because it has become a business growth industry.

They have scared many people, especially paranoid buxom housewives, into believing that killer muggers lurk on every block.

When you encounter such a person, just tell them to look around at the neighborhood domestic dogs and cats in the streets. Are they friendly? Or wary and vigilant?

Too many people in today's dummed down society are too stupid to think for themselves. They let TV network news and tabloid reality shows drum up fear in their clueless little lives with trumped up exaggerated stories.
