In 1995, the fantastic series entitled Loving ended its run, and before it was spun off into an equally wonderful series entitled The City...A series of murders occured which in effect eliminated the core family of the series, The Aldens. This was a mystery which was filled with more intrigue and edge of your seat action than anything you see on television today, or have since. Characters you'll see through out this 5 part edit of some of the highlights include Trisha Alden (ATWT's Noelle Beck), Tess Wilder (OLTL's Catherine Hickland), Ally Bowman (GH's Laura Wright), Clay Alden (GL's Dennis Parlato), Steffi Brewster (Y&R's Amelia Heinle), Dinah Lee Mayberry (Elizabeth Mitchell of Lost), along with many more including an AMC mainstay Jeremy Hunter (Jean Leclerc), Debbi Morgan as Angie Hubbard, and the wonderful Lisa Peluso (Lila of Another World) as Ava Masters, and in my opinion one of the best actresses in Daytime History, Christine Tudor Newman as Gwenyth Alden. In this clip, The Killer targets Jeremy Hunter, in what has to be one of the strangest ways in history. What is that mysterious clicking sound? Find out as you watch one of the greatest storylines in Daytime..The Loving Murders!

  • Only the most original death in Soaps. Ever

  • This takes me back to the summer before high school. I was so addicted to this storyline, and even though you knew Loving was going to be revamped, it was nice to see this serial go out with a BANG!

  • @wx4newengland I know Gwyn was always a little impulsive and loopy at times, but I think Trisha's refusal to come back probably caused Gwyn to snap.

  • Is it really possible to die by quick-drying cement?

  • Does anyone have any footage of Loving from around August to December of 1991 or around then? I wanted to see Carly (Ava's sister). I remember there was a storyline where she ended up with a 10 year old son by Paul Slavinsky. The kid used to play a James Taylor song before he went to sleep or something like that. Please help!!!

  • @wx4newengland I don't know much about her in the '80's, but from what I can understand from watching in the 1990's, Gwyneth was one of those people who you either loved or hated. She did do some questionable things, but she also had her friends and allies. But, she also had a lot of tragedy too...Trisha lost her memory and turned her back on the family. Curtis went crazy and actually shot her. All those events certainly did not help Gwyneth's frame of mind.
