@Mahyneguy i find it really annoying when people mention her father objecting to the transfusion..I am a die hard selena fan..ITS NO SECRET..regardless of her fathers rejection to the transfusion, doctors still gave it to her anyway..ITS THERE JOB. by the time she got to the hospital there was pretty much no blood left in her. because selena ran (obviously scared out of her mind) this made it worse, as the bullet hit a main artery and pumped out all her blood. NOTHING could of saved her that day

Selena did not die because her father refused a blood transfusion. She had in fact received 6 units of blood upon arriving at the hospital however it didn't make a difference because she was already d.o.a. Her father didn't find out about the blood transfusions until AFTER they were given. According to the doctor's testimony, no amount of blood would have saved her life at that point because she was too far gone.
