The Greatest Command as sung at Camp Hensel, June 12-17, 2011.

Alto: Love one another, for love is of God. He who loves is born of God; and knows God. He who does not love, does not know God. For God is love, God is love.

Bass: Love bears all things, Believes all things. Love hopes all things, Endures all things.

Tenor: God is love, God is love, God is love. God is love, God is love, God is love. God is love, God is love, God is love, God is love, God is love, God is love.

Soprano: Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, all thy strength, all thy might. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, for God is love, God is love, God is love.

  • I love this song! We sing it at the camp I go to MWBC in Iowa and its one of my favorites.

  • i am singing along over and over! thank you!!

  • Wow. I was looking for versions of this and found this. I am from Austin and Camp Hensel is my camp (growing up in the Ford Village/Southwest congregation)!

  • I'm not a Christian but I know in my heart of hearts that the universe was created... and that the creation and the creator is simply made out of love. Christians call it god, I call it the source and I pay homage to it... Being the simple minded human I am, I wouldn't presume to decide the complexities of the nature of the source, I simply try to live up to the love of which I am created. We are all made of, because of and for the purpose of love... how many of us act that way?

  • Sang this at my grandmother's funeral and once in a blue moon at church. Tear up every time. Will always be close to my heart.

  • I love this song, we sang this at my baptism.

  • I like that too !

  • I love how you showed the lyrics with the voice parts!
