I kept wishing there was a way to separate the soundtrack and disable it. I found it distracting, loud and annoying. It didn't seem to suit the scenes and what could have been some sort of mood created became irrevelent chaos and confusion. For a minute I thought perhaps (by paying attention to the music) that this was supposed to have been comedic attempts. I muted the sound during some scenes and found that my imagination could create a more absorbant atmosphere.

I agree especially with how the heavy metal tracks were interspersed.

Inferno is a whole 'nother beast compared to Suspiria. Here's what to expect- an even more incoherent plot, 25 kills (I think) , a hit-and-miss soundtrack by Keith Emerson, shadow people, underwater corpses, Disney homages, cat attacks, psycho hot dog vendor and other assorted weirdness. Go into the film with the right frame of mind and it will be watchable at the most. It's leaps and bounds better than 'Mother of Tears' though, that is one to avoid.
