This is a MazdaSpeed body in white built by Fountain Motorsports to compete in the Grand Am Cup series in 2005. This is a very well built and safe race car. The cage is very well designed and built. This is the full race motor used by Fountain and designed by Calloway. I do not have all of the specific details, on the internals, but through some research I have been told by the owner of the sister car, that a lot of time and money was spent in its development. It has a full MOTEC ECU, ADL and harness.
Follow up: this video is not from the inside of a Mazda Protege; I should know, I'm Greg Amy. This is my video, shot from the inside of an ITA-prepped Nissan NX2000, running in NASA PTE at VIR in 2007. This video used to be posted on Google Video before they canned that service.
Now that I think about it, there was some kind of Protege in that group, IIRC I passed him a few times... to see more, click my name above (I'll upload the GV ones eventually...)

Actually now that I remember it, they're built off MP3 chassis, but still very built nonetheless. I was looking at buying one of the FMS cars a couple years ago.

Why are you guys arguing that this isn't an MSP? It's a race car built off an MSP chassis making over 100 more hp, Swain Tech coated gears, dialed in suspension, and a lot more. Better than any MSP I've ever seen.

idk what that probe has done to it...but HOLY SHIT! Driver in it sucked but the car drove itself in the straightaways.
