Islam and Christianity - by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat and Dr. Gary Miller

An open air symposium takes place at Westridge Park Stadium Islam and Christianity - by Sheikh Ahmed Deedat and Dr. Gary Miller

An open air symposium takes place at Westridge Park Stadium, Durban between Mr. Ahmed Deedat and an ex-Christian Gary Miller. The discussion centres around the viewpoints of Islam and Christianity on various topics such as the divinity of Christ (pbuh), Is the Bible God's word? etc. A lively question and answer session ensues.

Sheikh Ahmed Hussein Deedat (July 1, 1918 - August 8, 2005): He was a Muslim scholar of Comparative religion, an author, lecturer, and an orator. He was best known for witty inter-religious public debates.

What differentiated Deedat's approach from his contemporaries, apart from eloquence in English language, was that he would not only use references from the Qur'an and the Hadith, but also use his intensive knowledge of the Bible.

Dr. Gary Miller: Gary Miller (Abdul-Ahad Omar) shows how we can establish true faith by setting standards of truth. He illustrates a simple but effective method of finding out the right direction in our search for truth.

G.R. Miller is a mathematician and a theologian. He was active in Christian missionary work at a particular point of his life but he soon began to discover many inconsistencies in the Bible. In 1978, he happened to read the Qur'an expecting that it, too, would contain a mixture of truth and falsehood.

He discovered to his amazement that the message of the Qur'an was precisely the same as the essence of truth that he had distilled from the Bible. He became a Muslim and since then has been active in giving public presentations on Islam including radio and television appearances. He is also the author of several articles and publications about Islam.

  • Sheikh Ahmad Deedat gave a left hook, right hook, upper cut n a haymaker on each and everyone of the questioner... Brilliant Man!!! =)

  • the Audio is BAD....!!!!!

  • how can u speak about something u have not even seen?

  • @Gnomefro By saying OT is Barbarism you are blasphemesing against your own God! The God of the NT n OT is One God, Hypocrite! Christianity was not the Religion of Jesus(prayed/Worshiped to the one n only God n kept the Commandments of God) nor was it the religion of the Prophets(Who Worshiped God n followed/Kept the Commandments of God)! Christians are pagan Pauline Man god worshiper! Read Matthew 7:21-23 Worship God n follow the laws n Commandments of God like Jesus n his Early Followers did!!

  • It's absurd to construe the muslim claims about Jesus *specifically designed to undermine the core claims of Christianity* as an outstretched hand of friendship. The Jesus in the Qur'an is completely uninteresting to Christians. He has no relevance to anything, not even to muslims, because Mohammed obviously never knew of NT morality. Islamic morality is based on OT barbarism that is so removed from Christian morality that it has no appeal at all.

  • Mashaallah, i never seen such a Man like Ahmad Deedat, I pray for him, Allah give him a place in Jannatul firdous, Ameen.

  • Christians just dont get it. Even the prophet Jesus(pbuh) condemned this sickness. Jesus(pbuh) never said "I am God" or "worship me". And yet they keep on doing exactly what they were told NOT TO DO! Its my obligation to let you know the following: Our Holy Quran says: Allah will forgive a sinner for his sins, if it is Allah's Will. What Allah does not forgive is for one to ascribe partners unto Him. How clearer do you want the message christians? I challenge any of you to a debate.

  • can someone please find the verse in bible for me that Paul wrote about "abba, father" which Mr. Miller explained in part 10 clip. i would like to know where is the verse says like "born again" has new mother. thanks

  • @TheZainaljb .. True wallah. With all the evidence we give them and still they look the other way. Strange how they dont see themselves.
