Duck Hunting in Pakistan -- Shikar

A day in the field -- when all the spots don't boast ducks we tend to go to a secret spot close to Lahore for a chance at some ducks -- this day was the same as when no other place worked out we decided to go to RAVI for a chance at ducks ... took quite some hardship to reach the spot ... heavy fog through out, car broke down in midway an escape from dacoits, Lost on our way when trying a new route to the blind and finally the bitter cold ... sat patiently in the blind for 4 hours which yielded just one duck a red crested pochard female ... also took 6 snipes confusing them for teals ... overall a fun day filled with adventure... had fun!....

Yes we did manage to bag one duck ( female red crested pochard ) the ducks weren't there that day it was 9th Feb 08 ... the migration now has started slowly so hopefully we can shoot some ducks with camera as well as with the gun ... the stuff im shooting are snipes which were plenty there that day so thought to practice some shots ... wasent able to capture the right footage of bird falling ... but the bag waz 7 snipes and 1 duck

faraz bahi september se ducks ana shiro hoti sindh main yahn pe buht se lakes hain aur duckhunting ka maza he aur he ab january ke baad ducks migriton start hogi ducks india se back hokar sindh se wapas hoti hain indus flyway 4 un ka root he february main 50 se above score hota hum 4.5 dost jati hain mallard pintail gadwall / russian wigeon chilian wigeon shovelrs marbild teail aur diving ducks bhhi bhut zeyada
