On August 8, 1998 the Apple II Reunion was held at Ion Storm's Dallas headquarters. Attended by over 40 legendary Apple II pioneers and game industry folks it was a night to remember.

While other people were making sluggish and blinky games resembling Pong, Gebelli was squeezing every last microprocessor cycle out of the Apple ][ to make it look like it was a Pentium blasting at full speed.

The things he got the Apple ][ to do was nothing short of witchcraft.

Depending on who -- if anyone -- is reading the comments here, I'm just gonna put these out there: I've been playing through Secret of Mana again on the Wii Virtual Console, and it's still a truly excellent game.

Even Hironobu Sakaguchi admitted that FInal Fantasy would NEVER have been made if it wasn't for Nasir Gebelli. The man is a programming god!
