@yindyamarra Cheers, that's good to know. 40 knots is going to test anything out! I figure it being a heavy tent - it will never be far from the car and I can always use the car as a windbrake. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the look at your tent. It looks like an alloy pole goes across the floor a foot or so in from the rear window - is that so and does it get in the way or be uncomfy under a mattress?

thats the rear of the frame on the back floor,,,its only about 1cm thick if that,,and we have no probs with it and a matress,your matress can be over the top of it or brought forward for it not to touch it

@yindyamarra Thanks. Got a good look at one - turns out my sister has bought one. Very impressive. Have you had yours out in a decent wind? (I have a 30-40km/hr sea breeze in mind....)

@quedecree i had mine in tassy 2 years ago and it was in 40 knot winds,i never slept all night but i watched the frame actually bend and going back into shape,,i was so impressed with it,,i got up next morning to see all the bigW tent collapsed and blown apart

I have the RV4 , its even better with the foxwing awning . I dont even use the front awning or side panels most of the time . I set the awning up and place the oztent slightly under the awning . Goes hand in hand together i reckon .
