Pug falling asleep - very funny!!

****I've come to realise a lot of people are saying he sleeps upright because of blocked airways due to the breed. Dexter is a mixed breed so doesn't have as flat a nose as pedigree pugs and has only ever done this once. He would always sleep lying down and doesn't snore half as loud as my other dog who has a longer muzzle. He was a puppy at the time and only wanted to stay awake because he was probably reluctant to miss out on something exciting. Like I said, he's only ever done this once, all other times he's never struggled to breathe or tried to stay awake. I appreciate some people's concern for a lot of dog and cat breeds out there and I don't condone animal cruelty but in this case there is no suffering or cruelty going on. And I'll bet a lot of you who are so eager to point out so called 'cruelty' in others probably don't bat an eyelid at biting into a burger made from a halal meat from cows kept in disgraceful conditions or have even bothered to research the cruelty behind KFC chickens. I've signed a whole horde of animal cruelty petitions and have been a vegetarian for more than half my life. Animals do daft things, this is one of them. Stop pointing your fingers at something harmless and try raising your voices to *real* animal cruelty such as the running of the bulls or dog fighting. If these messages continue I will remove this video which would be a shame considering how popular it's become****

Sorry if you already answered but what mix breed is your dog? I ask cause we rescued a pug X breed last year and we are still figuring out his other half, he sure looks like him in the video!

Perhaps you should retake English lessons? I have no idea what spurred this response but you really ought to learn some manners. Oh, please do not remove this very cute video. I've had many dogs in my 70 yrs and some of the just fight falling asleep. This is just cute. Nothing more and CERTAINLY not cruel. Who EVER would say that???

first i didn't laugh because when they fall asleep like that it means that because of the way they are badly bred and horribly made with the nose and all that. we have as humans have made horrible dog that is suffering so no i didn't laugh my head off. lovely dogs but they don't need the horrid nose and all that so breeders THINK FIRST AND DON'T BE IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
