United Hunter Oil and Gas Corp. (TSX:UHO)
EXCELARON LLC HUASNA

Excelaron LLC, Huasna was formed by a group of investors in Australia (Australian Oil Company; www.austrailianoilcompany.com) in 2006 for the purpose of exploration and production of wells on the existing California Division of Oil, Gas & Geothermal Resources (CDOGGR) Huasna Oil Field.

In March of 2010, Vesta Capital Corp. (now United Hunter Oil and Gas Corp.) invested in the Excelaron Huasna project. The principals of both companies have more than 100 years of experience and work in the industry. Principals at United Hunter Oil & Gas Corp. have discovered and produced some of the largest oil discoveries in the world.

  • If we are going to be free from foreign oil we need to use our oil here and keep the money in this country to invest in jobs, and research to some day make CHEAP renewable and clean energy by not investing in foreign oil time to use our oil and invest in our resources, sustainability starts with using our oil instead of import oil.

  • It is time to utilize the natural resources of our state, Excelaron has proven over the past 5 years that it is responsible and professional and conscious to the sensitivity of the environment I trust Excelaron to be good stewards to the property it has already had decontaminated the property. If we as a nation are ever going to achieve clean sustainable and renewable energy resources we have to stop exporting hundreds of billions of dollars to foreign nations we have far more oil right here.

  • @evesorama I agree that the way it was left before was wrong. This company has cleaned up after them and uses a WAY more environmentally friendly method. I love the earth, but the question still presents itself, what kind of car do you drive? What kind of plastic is used to seal your home, wrap your food? All are oil products. Now if you can come up with something else to sustain our plastic run world, I would jump on board. Until then you cannot criticize the system if you are still part of it.

  • Their CFO Brad Griffiths is missing on Lake Joseph in Muskoka, Ontario.

  • BP pipeline leaks oily mixture onto Alaskan tundra - headlines in the news 7-18-11.

I fear it won't be long until the road tar that Excalaron drills for is leaking into our ground water sources.

  • Would new wells ever be drilled outside the canyon (on the valley floor)? Very little natural gas, fine, but NG has no smell, it's hydrogen sulfide you smell in Price Canyon, so how much H2S does this formation have? How will asphalt-grade oil help reduce our imports (it cannot be used for gasoline production, so why show a gas station in the video?)? What else are you hiding by not addressing the full concerns of the residents of this valley?

  • This video left a lot of concerns unanswered. They are proposing more than 2 wells, so will all the wells be drilled from the same two pads? What about additional wells after the exploration phase? After the drill rigs are gone, you still will have boilers to heat the water for the production. Will those be oil fired or propane fired? Extra propane trucks on Huasna road? Air pollution from those boilers? Cemented casings have voids, what if one leaks?

  • Oh, and let's not forget the abandonment of the project and the way it was done the last time, leaving the damage of the pillaging behind when it did not pay off. Changing your name does not hide who you are. If it's called a rose, but grunts like a greedy swine, and smells like a greedy swine, it's still a greedy swine. As my adult daughter, a teacher, so succinctly put it : "mom, after watching this video, I threw up a little in the back of my mouth".

  • Awww.....now should we all hold hands and sing Kumbaya? I think not ! When making your patronizing video, you mistakenly took us farmers and ranchers in Huasna and SLO for simpletons. What we are is a group of Americans who feed our country and care for it's beauty in the Huasna Valley. Our roads will be unsafe as your workers careen down them, our water is at risk our land is at risk, ll while you send your $ to Australia.

  • What about the supposedly $100,000 dollars a year in tax revenue? The loss in property value is going to significantly lower property taxes, which could result in an actual loss of tax revenue. Take a look at the beauty of the site--all that will be destroyed. Will that improve our county's quality of life?
